DOUG Membership Jumps!

"A picture is worth a thousand words"… Here is our scorecard and a colorful graph:

As of December 1, 2004, we have 360 members and we experienced a 200% year-over-year growth of our membership compared to 35% in 02, 40% in 03. Our exponential growth is still on track to reach 250% overall growth in 04, a little shy of 400 members! (Remember to renew/join on the website early and help us reach our goal)

Our meeting attendance almost doubled averaging 40 to 55 attendees across 20 meetings.

The Oracle Applications Day, October 21st, co-sponsored with Oracle was even more successful than our previous record attendance at the Oracle Technology Day: over 260 participants and a few standing room only break-out sessions!

New Corporate members joined our roster of Fortune 2000 members, increasing the number of Corporate Oracle users represented at DOUG from 80 in 2003 to 120 in 2004. Our warmest welcome to Rexel, NCH and Accor! NCH joined with 35 members, Rexel with 11 members, Echelon Resources and Keste with 5 members each. For 2004, Corporate Membership increased by 70% from 10 companies to 17.

These last 3 years have been very rewarding personally and I look forward to continue my involvement in a different capacity. We are forming the new board for next year and look forward to having many of our members get involved, volunteer for specific activities or events and take on a leadership role on the board. If you would like to join a volunteer team that is Dedicated, Open, United and Goal-oriented, please send us a note and outline your area of interest and value ad you could bring to our dynamic organization!
