Retail Group

The Retail Group is providing an environment to exchange ideas and share experiences of using the Oracle Enterprise Applications. The group is open to anyone who is a member of DOUG and is intended to represent the interests of professionals in the retail arena within the DFW region.
The Oracle Suite of products is in a constant state of expansion, due to acquisitions, and new product development. With these changes there are many exciting opportunities for companies to enhance their utilization of the Oracle family of products.
There are three main areas of focus for the Retail Group:

Retail User Community: Build a network of professionals in the DFW area utilizing the Oracle Enterprise Applications in the retail arena.

Knowledge Sharing: There are many corporations in the DFW area, all using Oracle Applications, in different and unique ways. The retail group is intended to foster the sharing of ideas on process improvement, problem solving, etc.  Understanding the nuances of the applications, allow for better utilization of the application, aiding in productivity gains, as well as cost reduction.

Product  Development Guidance: As Oracle continues to enhance their Enterprise Product offerings, key industry players can provide invaluable insight into the needs, and desires for the Oracle product set. Additionally, with the assistance of Oracle Product Managers, corporations can gain a better understanding, and provide guidance on Oracle’s direction.
